ImageStream provides three levels of official certifications. These certifications offer measureable, marketable skills to individuals and organizations. An ImageStream certification provides individuals with a solid foundation for operating both ImageStream and general Linux networking platforms. These courses are designed to teach students about ImageStream technologies and the powerful ImageStream Linux router distribution. Armed with a thorough understanding of ImageStream products and networking technologies, the certification courses will provide students with the knowledge required to deploy even the most challenging network designs using ImageStream Linux and the Inetics networking platform.
ImageStream's training partners and staff conduct different courses, providing practical examples that address real applications. Instructors prepare students not only for the certification exam, but also to apply their knowledge in the real world. ImageStream limits class sizes to ensure a maximum amount of individual attention for maximum student benefit. All certifications are valid for three (3) years.
ImageStream Certified Network Operator
The ImageStream Certified Network Operation (ICNO) certification is designed for network operators who have a basic understanding of TCP/IP networking and limited knowledge of the ImageStream Industrial Series Routers, ImageStream Linux, and ImageStream's Inetics technology platform. The ICNO course of study is a four-day, two-part class that covers basic configuration, network design, troubleshooting, static routing and firewall/access control. The ICNO course culminates in a two-hour written exam that verifies candidates' basic understanding of Internet technology, router configuration, firewall/access control, and troubleshooting. ICNO exam topics are based on the content of the four-day ICNO instructor-led training course. This course and exam are recommended prerequisites for advanced certifications.
ImageStream Certified Network Administrator
The ImageStream Certified Network Administrator (ICNA) certification is designed for network operators with an advanced understanding of TCP/IP and significant experience with ImageStream Industrial Series Routers, ImageStream Linux and ImageStream's Inetics technology platform. The ICNA certification course is a five-day, two-part class that introduces candidates to the full range of ImageStream products and interfaces. The course consists of training in advanced network design, including an introduction to dynamic routing, and advanced filtering including an introduction to Quality of Service (QoS). The ICNA program is an advanced, lab-based certification that tests network operators' knowledge of working with ImageStream products, the ImageStream Linux router distribution and the Inetics networking platform in a multi-protocol environment. The ICNA course culminates in a four hour exam consisting of a two-hour written exam and two-hour lab exam.
ImageStream Certified Network Engineer
ImageStream Certified Network Engineer (ICNE) certifications provide the students with an opportunity to achieve an elite level of training and certification for different technical specializations. ICNE is designed for Network Administrators and Engineers who have completed their ICNO and ICNA certifications, and have developed an expert knowledge level of TCP/IP networking with deep experience using ImageStream Industrial Series Routers, ImageStream Linux, and ImageStream's Inetics technology platform. ICNE certifications are available for BGP, QoS, IDS, Asterisk, and other specializations. Each course is a four-day, two-part class that provides an intensive study of the focal topic. ICNE is an advanced, lab-based certification that tests the student's knowledge of deploying ImageStream routers in the specialized applications covered by the ICNE course. The ICNE course culminates in a one-day exam, consisting of a 2-hour written exam and a 2-hour lab exam that emphasize network design and router configuration.
